South Africa is set to tour England for a multi-format series. South Africa’s tour of England, 2022 will witness an ODI series, T20I series and a Test series. The South Africa vs England ODI series will observe three ODI games. The T20I and Test series will also witness three games each.
Both England and South Africa have announced their squads for the South Africa tour of England 2022. While South Africa has already announced their squads for ODIs, T20Is, and Tests, England is yet to announce the Test squad. However, the hosts have announced the ODI and T20I squads for the South Africa tour of England, 2022.

For South Africa, Dean Elgar is the skipper in the Test series. In white-ball skipper Temba Bavuma’s absence, Keshav Maharaj will lead the team in the ODI series. David Miller will lead the T20I side. Jos Buttler will lead the team in the ODI and T20I series for England.

England played a Test, ODI, and T20I series against India recently at home. The ENG vs IND series will witness a rescheduled Test from last year. The Test series eventually ended in a tie of 2-2. England lost the T20I and ODI series 2-1, facing a defeat on their home soil.

South Africa last played a T20I series against India in June 2022. The five-match T20I series between both the teams ended in a tie 2-2 as one of the games was washed out due to rain. Their last ODI and Test series was against Bangladesh in March-April this year. South Africa lost the ODI series 2-1 but won the Test series 2-0.

The South Africa tour of England 2022 will witness three ODIs, three T20Is, and three Tests. All the ODI matches will start at 5:30 PM IST (1 PM local time), except for the 3rd ODI which will commence at 3:30 PM IST (11 AM local time).
The 1st and 2rd T20I will start at 11 PM IST (6:30 local time) while the 3rd T20I will begin at 7 PM IST (2:30 PM local time). All three Tests will begin at 3:30 PM IST (10 AM local time).
