Move in and enjoy this slice of paradise

FROM the meticulous design to the exquisite construction, Arabella is a home with few peers.

The quality and attention to detail is immediately apparent, from the automatic gates onward.

Reflections dance off of a picturesque dam at the front of the property, which makes a great first impression when walking through the gardens towards the four-bedroom house.

There are weeping cherries in the spring and terraced lawns at the rear. The manor’s landscaping adds to the regal presence of the property.

Thoughtfully designed, the garden helps define the property’s many outdoor entertaining areas, while also securing privacy.

Described as a “testament to the current owners”, the home showcases a love for traditional, high-quality design and construction.

Escape to the country.

Bathroom brilliance.

The largest pizza oven I’ve ever seen.

Homelands Property agent Amber Leighton said it was arguably among the most finely finished homes in the Huon.

Mrs Leighton said it was one of the nicest homes she had represented.

“The current owner, a builder by trade, built this home for his family over the past decade,” she said.

“You can see his focus and desire to make everything, every detail, absolutely perfect.

“He is fastidious, if he is going to do something he will always do it perfectly.

“It is the type of home where, on a second inspection, you will see impressive features that you missed the first time around.”

Island attraction.

Culinary master.

Mrs Leighton said the owner had taken inspiration from classic architecture, elements like ceiling roses, timber-framed windows and decorative cornices, and incorporated them into a modern build.

“The home feels like it has been there for ever, but it is obviously brand new,” she said.

“It is a uniquely exciting home. The ensuite is a good example, with its incredible tiled round spa underneath triple-glazed leadlight windows — I have never seen anything like that before.

“This is a home that feels like a high-end resort.”

Mrs Leighton said the house had been a labor of love and was sure to impress those that appreciate timeless elegance.

From the porcelain tiles, cypress pine flooring and underfloor heating, to the ornate cornice and decorative ceilings, no part of this home’s finish has been overlooked.

Make an entrance.

So much space.

A formal entrance leads to the open plan kitchen and dining area, both of which are filled with natural light and offer views of the hillsides.

The country-style kitchen features top quality appliances, Blackwood countertops and a butler’s pantry.

More triple-glazed, leadlight windows complete this room. They are a consistent feature throughout the home.

“The island bench is bespoke, carefully considered and crafted,” Mrs Leighton said.

“The curves and recessed island corners are mirrored outside in the landscaping.

“Another example of the owner’s eye for detail; there are 14 taps outside and every one is spaced a garden hose length from each other — it’s incredible.”

A classic claw-foot.

Dinner party.

The floorplan allows for lots of flexibility, with multiple living spaces and a formal dining room, a second sitting room and generously proportioned study.

Each of the spacious bedrooms feature custom-made built-in storage while the master has a walk-in wardrobe, access to the covered porch, and that superb spa ensuite.

The family bathroom sits nearby, the bedrooms, highlighted by a claw-foot bath and a polished blackwood vanity.

Outside, there is a double garage that allows for covered entry inside, as well as a massive 150sq m workshop. The huge pizza oven has to be seen to be believed.

This stately Huonville residence sits on a 1ha fenced block, right on the cusp of the township, giving it a ‘best of both worlds’ feel with country-style privacy and space alongside easily accessed shops and services.

It’s sprawling.

And perfectly crafted.

"0" + seconds : seconds); return result; } })(window.videojs);

Mrs Leighton said while the home was being built, it always caught her eye as she passed by.

“You only see a glimpse of it, but it is so striking,” she said.

“Our vendor is selling to be closer to family. I imagine it will be a bit of a heartbreaker on the day it is sold.

“So far, the property has attracted a lot of interest from retirees.

“Some people from interstate see a large, stately manor house like this one as something they cannot afford there, but still can in Tasmania.

“It will make someone’s dream come true.”

No.73 Flood Rd, Huonville is priced at “Offers over $1.8m” and listed with Homelands Property.
