ICC World Test Championship (WTC) Points Table 2021-23, Latest Rankings 2022. South Africa grabs the top spot in World Test Championship 2021-23 points table currently with a PCT of 71.43. Australiawho held the top spot for a long time in the past, has dropped to the second position at PCT 70.0.

Both the teams have played 3 Tests series so far. While South Africa has won 5 Tests and lost 2 out of 7, Australia has won 6, lost 1, and drawn 3 out of 10 games. The 3rd and 4th spots in the World Test Championship points table have been captured by Sri Lanka and Pakistan respectively.

With a PCT of 52.08, India closely follows Pakistan on the 5th spot in World Test Championship points table. India, who has played 4 Test series so far, accounts for 6 wins, 4 defeats, and 2 draws. West Indies, with a PCT of 50.0, follows India in the 6th spot in World Test Championship 2021-23 points table. They have won 4, lost 3, and drawn 2 games.

England, New Zealand, and Bangladesh take the 7th, 8th, and 9th spot in the points table respectively. With 4 consecutive wins in the last 4 games, England has bettered their PCT to 33.33. New Zealand, with 2 wins and 6 defeats, has a PCT of 25.93. Bangladesh takes the last spot in the table with a PCT of 13.33, which they earned after just 1 victory and 8 losses so far.

For slow over-rates, teams will lose one championship point for each over short. Teams will be ranked on the percentage of points won.

India started their ICC World Test Championship 2021-23 journey with the England tour in August last year. During the tour, India played 4 Tests against England. They won 2 matches and lost 1, while 1 game ended in a draw. Later, India lost the final rescheduled match and the series ended in a 2-2 tie.

Later, India lost a three-match Test series to South Africa 2-1. India has played 4 Test series so far, playing 12 games. Winning 6 games, losing 4 and drawing 2, India has a PCT of 52.08 and takes the 5th spot in the table.

England played their 1st Test series in ICC World Test Championship 2021-23 against India. The series, which watch its final rescheduled Test recently, ended in a 2-2 tie. Against Australia in Ashes 2021-22 series, England faced a humiliating 4-0 defeat.

England also lost a Test series against West Indies 1-0. However, with a 3-0 Test series victory against New Zealand last month, England has bettered their position in the World Test Championship. They take the 7th spot with a PCT of 33.33.

Pakistan

Pakistan has now dropped the 4th spot in World Test Championship 2021-23 points table. Pakistan has a PCT of 52.08 after playing 3 Test series. They are currently playing a Test series against Sri Lanka, which will witness 2 games. Out of 7 games so far, Pakistan has won 2, lost 2, and drawn 3.

West Indies

West Indies takes the 6th spot in the ICC World Test Championship 2021-23. West Indies bagged a major breakthrough by defeating England in a Test series 1-0 earlier, they still have a long way to qualify for the finals. West Indies have played 8 Tests, winning 4, losing 3, and drawing 2.

Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka has moved to the 3rd spot in the World Test Championship points table. The Asian team has a PCT of 54.17, after winning 4 and losing 3 games in 4 Test series. They have also drawn one game. Sri Lanka recently won a Test match against Australia. Now, they are playing a Test series against Pakistan.

New Zealand takes the 8th spot in ICC World Test Championship 2021-23 points table with a PCT of 25.93. The recent Test series loss to England 3-0 took a big toll on New Zealand’s position in WTC points table. New Zealand has won just 2 games and lost 6 out of 9, with 1 game ending in a draw.

Australia got a spectacular start to its journey in ICC World Test Championship 2021-22 with the Ashes 2021-22 series. Facing England at home in the 5-match series, Australia won the series 4-0. They have slipped to the 2nd spot with a PCT of 70.0. Australia accounts for 6 wins, 1 loss, and 3 draws.

South Africa takes the top spot in the World Test Championship with a PCT of 71.43. The team has won 5 games and lost 2 out of 7 so far, playing 3 Test series. They have also ousted Australia from the top spot. South Africa is bound to play 3 Tests against England soon. The results of the series will have a big effect on the WTC standings.

Bangladesh takes the last 9th spot in ICC World Test Championship points table. Bangladesh has won just 1 Test so far, lost 8 games and drawn 1. They have played 5 Test series so far and have only 1 series left in the tournament. With a PCT of 13.33, they are the worst performers currently.
