Renowned Singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK, passed away at the age of 53. After his concert in Kolkata’s Nazrul Mancha auditorium on Tuesday, he went to his hotel where he collapsed and he was rushed to CMRI hospital where he was declared brought dead .
The year 2022 has been a Black year for the Indian music industry as music icons like Lata Mangeshkar, Bappi Lahiri, Sidhu Moose Wala and KK have passed away.
Krishnakumar Kunnath, who was born on 23 August 1968, recorded songs in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Bengali, Assamese and Gujarati languages.
KK, who released his first album, Pal in 1999, gave many hit songs like Tadap Tadap (Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, 1999), Dus Bahane (Dus, 2005), and Tune Maari Entriyaan (Gunday, 2014).
Krishnakumar Kunnath, who was a very versatile singer, also gave songs like “Khuda Jaane”, “Tu Hi Meri Shab Hai” and “Awarapan Banjarapan”, which are extraordinary and everlasting songs.
Meanwhile, cricketers, political leaders, actors and fans fondly remembered the singer and his everlasting songs in their condolence tweets.

Veteran Indian commentator and journalist Harsha Bhogle expressed shock at KK’s demise. He wrote:
